Agadir attracts lovers of beautiful beaches

The beaches of Agadir are considered to be the most beautiful of the Morocco. About ten kilometers long, they offer a particular advantage. As they are protected by the Bay, you can benefit from a genuine peace in the water without having to avoid the brutality of the waves of the Atlantic ocean. The clement climate and its 300 days of annual sunshine throughout the year to bathe in any season.

Following an ambitous redevelopment, the seafront in Agadir offers you today a very pleasant stroll. These kilometres of golden sand are very clean. Indeed, they are regularly cleaned by volunteers and associations. A wide range of activities is proposed. Most of them have turned to the ocean such as kitesurfing, windsurfing or surfing. However, you can also make the quad rides on horseback or camel.

 

The beaches of Agadir and a certain tranquility

Taghazout, the hidden village

The beach of Taghazout is a few kilometres from Agadir. Here are found more followers of the surf. Enjoy the long straights and the beach breaks which alternate on the coast. True paradise for surfers, the beaches in the area offer a mild climate combined with waves suitable for beginners to regulars. All contributes to practise your favourite sport in excellent conditions; Taghazout to Tahir, weather conditions are optimal; raging waves, the wind and the temperature of the water offer ideal assets encouraging the practice of surfing. Very famous, it was frequented by Jimy Hendricks or Frank Zappa...Long almost 7 km, it is bordered by the mountains of the High Atlas. K point, La Source and Anka Point, H Point are some of the many spots globally known and located around Taghazout.

Taghazout has a campsite and a hotel close to recent development. But no need to stay there to taste the charms: twenty minutes are enough for you to come to Taghazout. In addition to being a renowned surfing destination, Taghazout is immersed in a charming atmosphere of a small Berber village. With the blue sky and the fish fresh, caught daily by the villagers, Taghazout is the ideal place for release you.
 

 

Addie Beach

Bobby is also known as the "Banana village" or "Banana beach", nickname is given by Jimi Hendrix in the 1960s because of fresh bananas grown in the Valley and sold on the side of the road. Addie has very attractive beaches over 3 km in length, this is a step for surf lovers. The coast is home to some of the best surfing spots in Morocco, such as Banana Beach and the Rocher du Diable. For beginners to surf, the Royal Surf Club and Lindor Surf Association are at your disposal. For fans of Moroccan gastronomy, Bobby has many restaurants (with seen panoramic on the banana plantations) and you can enjoy the best tagines in the region. The Souk is held each Wednesday; the market is filled with the colors and smells of fresh products: vegetables, fruits, mixing tagine spices and with the distant sound of waves hitting the beach giving the market a pleasant bonus.

 

Aghroud Beach

35 km north of Agadir, at half an hour drive, Aghroud, with its crystal clear waters, is one of the most beautiful beaches in the area. Uncrowded that remote because of large urban areas more to the South, it is only more peaceful and exotic.

It has two landing points of fishing where you can buy the fish brought back by the boats. The hotel is practically non-existent. But half a day enough for a swim and sunbathe from Agadir.

 

Beach of Imsouane

Located 80 km from Essaouira Agadir and Northern South and 6 km after Dallas, a small road on the left takes you to the beach of Imsouane. The beach begins at the entrance to the village. Arriving at Imsouane, the road runs along the cliff and gives stunning views of the Bay and its break point. Imsouane, it is the Sun 300 days per year, an ideal climate, never below 15 degrees with a majestic Bay.
In all seasons, it is the ideal place to unwind, relax and enjoy sunbathing on a fine soft sand. Even during the winter, it is possible to swim in a sea preserved cold currents of the Canary Islands.

For the lovers of swimming, the sport enthusiasts can practice it in the Bay. Imsouane is above all known for the angling which is one of its major activities. Thus, the small fishing village of Imsouane offers a spectacle of his blue boats stranded on the beach, tight at the foot of the humble houses, waiting for that at dawn fishermen come wearing them at the edge of the water, watching the wave that will allow them to ship to their fishing place.

 AGLOU BEACH

It is the beach of the Tiznitis. Formerly consisting of small huts of fishermen, the village has gradually transformed, leaving room for pretty Moroccan houses. He knows a spectacular development since the completion of a walk. Its strengths are its beaches, its reliefs and its curious fishing villages carved into the cliffs, small ports and proximity to Tiznit. Its reasonable distance of Agadir lets save the wild aspect of its sides and to ensure a peaceful stay to its visitors. Meeting place between sea and desert, it allows to flee the scorching heat to enjoy the cool sea.

 

Beach of Mirleft

It boasts everywhere the quality of its beaches of white sand, its almost inaccessible between cliffs and ocean coves, or its sand dunes shaped by the wind of the desert. The bite of the Sun, the crashing ocean waves, the immense tracts of sand... the tourist fond of seaside pleasures is struck by the enormity of the scene and knows a violent sense of disorientation. Surfing enthusiasts are often very demanding: on the lookout for the best waves, they do not hesitate to browse thousands of miles across entire countries, to experience the best sensations, this communion with the Board and the wave. The shore of Mirleft is part of these unique places of these lost corners that the best surfers advise in secret. Especially regular and often impressive waves in a wild and grandiose decor... Some experienced surfers do not hesitate to compare Mirleft to Tarifa, South of Spain, a now legendary place for all fans of surfing. We met even surfers who come regularly to Mirleft since the Persian Gulf... that is to say the attractions of the place!
 

Tifnit Beach

Tifnit is a village of fishermen, several centuries old, southwest of the Morocco in the Massa-Draa region and the province of Chtouka-Aït Baha. Located on the Atlantic coast, 30 km to the South of Agadir, Tifnit is at halfway between the estuary of the oued Souss and the estuary of the oued Massa. The village has a beautiful wild Beach sheltered in a Cove, 4 km long, rather small compared to the other beaches in the area, surrounded by limestone plateaus and large beautiful dunes. Currents can be strong in certain seasons. The inhabitants of the village lodged in houses of Pisa, in caves dug into the cliff or in canvas or plastic shelters. Not far is the national park of Souss-Massa, one of the last world sanctuaries of the bald ibis. Annually in August since 2005, takes place the rhythms of peace (Rhythms of Peace festival) festival, dedicated to all forms of music trance through a collaboration between masters of traditional Moroccan trance music, artists of the contemporary electronic music and several groups of "world music" backgrounds. It is also a well-known place of camper (which unfortunately leave their trash in a small discharge close to the beach) and one of the many spots to surf around Agadir.

SIDI Rbat Beach

Sidi R'bat is located about 50 km south of Agadir Tiznit direction. After approx. 40 km, off the road in the direction of Tiznit a few kilometres after the Barton village in the direction of Massa. Sidi R'bat is indicated from this point.

Next to the unique natural park, the vastness and the calm of the long sandy beach of several kilometres you will attract also long walks, diving in the waves of the Atlantic, sporting activities or prolonged Sun baths, everything has its place at Sidi R'bat.

Not to mention the other mythical beaches of Agadir: Abdala Beach, KM17, Aghroud Beach, Tahir beach, Sylvia Beach, beach of Tamri, La Source...
