I am obsessed with this photo.
As photos go, its awful. It's blurry, its moving and its of me dancing. Its terrible. However, I'm looking at my legs in this photo. They are tiny!
This makes me very happy as I've been running, walking and watching my diet for ages now. I hate doing it but its had to happen. After work, I will go for a very long walk, twice in the day sometimes. I also spend eight hours on my feet too.
Switching to the paleo diet (a loose paleo diet as I drink alcohol which I am technically not allowed to do) has made a difference. I would love to say that I am healthy and fit as a flea but no. I got a weird head cold/flu thing that has plagued me for two weeks now.
I also have no energy as a result of the cold thing. When I was home though, my mom reported me being much more active and energetic.
BUT!
I have to say that I am enjoying being healthy. Although, it does suck when I finish work and I would love a big huge bowl of nachos or a dirty pizza. All I can think of is cheese melting on bread. URGH. I have had bread once in three months. Gluten free bread at that.
I don't kill myself. If I slip up and I want a pizza tomorrow - I am not going to deny myself that. When I was home in June, myself and my mom went to my favourite cafe and they make this GORGEOUS chocolate and raspberry cake. It was so good I had two slices with no guilt.
I have noticed that my skin is glowing at the moment. I rarely have spots, no pigmentation and often get told I look very young for my age. This I believe is diet related and also, skincare routine related. I'm crazy about skincare. However, I have stopped some of the more expensive products I was using recently and it seems to have not made too much of a difference. I seem okay without them! Weird! Mind you, I'll still carry on buying them! You watch!
So I am seeing a difference at last with weight loss in my face, arms and legs. Skin that glows and doesn't need make up and also energy levels (when not sick!) are up as well.
What are the negatives of doing this much work?
Right.
1 - You constantly crave dirty food because its addictive
2 - You really have to force yourself to get excited about food because its a bit dull compared to exciting dirty melted cheese.
3 - Sometimes when you are exhausted, its really hard work to get up and go for a walk.
4 - Your muscles ache when you get back from the walk and an eight hour shift.
5 - Planning your meals in advance can be dull
6 - Having a sugar slump can be really awful. I cut the sugar that isn't naturally occurring so fruit is fine but adding sugar to a coffee is not.
But thats not really a lot of heartache. It's worth it!
