EDDIE MURPHY'S TWITTER ACCOUNT TWITTED ABOUT COMING TO AMERICA BEFORE THE SOCIAL NETWORKING PAGE WAS DELETED

Eddie Murphy has left fans scratching their heads after teasing a Coming To America sequel on Twitter only for his account to then be deleted.

A tweet appeared on the actor’s verified Twitter account this week showing a photo of movie character Princess Imani Izzi, played by Vanessa Bell Calloway, and the caption: “Coming to America sequel?”
But the account has since vanished from the internet.
So fans have been left wondering what on earth is going on, with some wondering if the account had been hacked.
More importantly, is a sequel to the comedy classic really in the works?
Well, the answer is yes, according to TMZ anyway, who claim sources told them Eddie IS working on a Coming To America sequel but it’s in the “early writing stages” and which cast members may return has not been decided.

An insider told the website that Eddie’s Twitter had been run by a social media team and it’s unclear why the tweet was posted or account deleted.
It's not the first time excitement about a possible Coming To America sequel has arisen: back in 2013, Eddie and co-star Arsenio Hall spoke about a possible follow-up.
Unfortunately for fans back then, it didn't seem likely, as Eddie joked: "When Coming to America came out it was a bunch of lawsuits. There was some dude who was claiming he was the prince.
